Search for tours and trips on the VisitScotland.com database:
Touring is straightforward and a pleasure - roads are of an excellent quality, well signposted and traffic is low. Maps, routes and advice are available through our Tourist Information Centres.
There are regular services to the outer islands: Fair Isle, Foula, Out Skerries and Papa Stour.
With over a 100 islands to explore, it makes sense to take to the sea. For the inhabited 15 islands, inter-island ferries operate on a frequent basis. If you would like to visit one of the many uninhabited islands consider a boat tour, fishing trip or boat charter.
